We are seeking experienced Construction Managers for our program management teams, with opportunities available at major and mid-sized airports across the Eastern, Central, and Western regions. As a key member of our program management team, you will play a critical role in helping airports plan, manage, and deliver major development programs including new terminal construction and the renovation or expansion of both landside and airside projects.
In this role, you’ll be part of the momentum. You will help drive integrated direction, leadership, and coordination across the construction environment, contributing to Construction Logistics, RFI review, Change Management, Field Condition assessments, VE opportunities, Field Dispute Resolution, Construction Schedule Review, Interface Management, and the advancement of top-tier Safety and Quality Standards on major aviation programs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Multiple Major Projects: Direct, coordinate, and integrate the activities of several large-scale construction projects to ensure they operate cohesively, align with program goals, and support uninterrupted airport operations.
- Establish Policies and Strategies: Develop and implement construction policies and strategic approaches that align with the airport’s overall organizational objectives, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Lead Construction Planning and Objectives: Participate in and supervise the development of construction management goals, short- and long-term plans, and performance tracking programs to measure progress and ensure successful construction execution.
- Manage Diverse Teams: Lead and administer a large multidisciplinary team of professional, technical, and support staff—both directly and through subordinate managers—to ensure effective performance and collaboration.
- Coordinate Stakeholder Relationships: Manage communication and working relationships among project leadership, airport administration, contractors, and operational stakeholders to maintain alignment and resolve issues proactively.
- Serve as Liaison on Construction Progress: Consult, collaborate, and act as a key liaison between contractors and airport officials to monitor progress, address concerns, and ensure construction milestones are met.
- Support Project Scheduling: Work closely with airport leadership to develop and prioritize program-level construction schedules and ensure alignment with broader airport initiatives.
- Contribute to Policy Development: Recommend, refine, and participate in the creation of airport policies and procedures related specifically to construction operations.
- Maintain Industry and Program Knowledge: Stay current with airport strategic plans, industry best practices, and emerging construction technologies to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Perform Additional Duties: Carry out other construction-related responsibilities as assigned to support the successful execution of the program.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
- Aviation Experience: Minimum of 12 years of directly related experience in aviation construction or program delivery.
- Professional Certifications (Preferred): Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE), or architectural licensure.
- Complex Problem-Solving: Proven ability to analyze sophisticated issues, understand operational demands, and develop integrated, innovative solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of current engineering and construction best practices, trends, and emerging methodologies.
- Exceptional Communication: Advanced verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, effective presentations to both small teams and large audiences.
- Project Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience directing, coordinating, and strategically integrating multiple construction projects and interfaces.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and manage a large and diverse team of technical, professional, and support staff.
- Construction Administration Proficiency: Knowledge of organizational workflow and procedures related to RFIs, Change Orders, Task Orders, and other construction documentation processes.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders within a diverse community and operational environment.
- Regulatory & Safety Knowledge:
- Understanding of local building codes and safety standards.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Familiarity with FAA technical specifications, local safety requirements, and airport/TSA security protocols.
- Construction Administration Proficiency: Knowledge of organizational workflow and procedures related to RFIs, Change Orders, Task Orders, and other construction documentation processes.
- Quality Assurance Understanding: Knowledge of QA principles and requirements to ensure adherence to project standards and specifications.
- Operational Improvement Skills: Ability to evaluate and improve procedures, re-engineer processes, formulate policy, and develop or implement new strategies across various phases of construction.
- Construction Management Expertise: Broad understanding of construction management principles, practices, and methodologies.
