Secret Life of Pets – Universal Studios
New Ride. Tight Footprint. No Room for Delay.
The Challenge
This high-profile Universal Studios attraction required the demolition of an existing ride and full rebuild, under an immovable opening date and inside a fully active park. The new ride system included an elevated track, 12 show scenes, highly themed facades, a central utility plant, and a tight queue layout.
Every phase, from demo to punch was mission critical.
What RED BRICK Delivered
We provided full planning and scheduling leadership to:
- Sequence ride demo and prep for new building foundation in a compressed site
- Coordinate vertical construction with track installation, scene work, and MEP systems
- Manage critical path items tied to media integration, testing, and occupancy milestones
- Track and mitigate ride system risk in coordination with show vendors and Universal creative
Key Wins
- Maintained schedule alignment with Universal’s fixed opening calendar
- Supported construction across highly sequenced trades, technical interfaces, and vendor deliveries
- Ensured ride readiness through performance-based tracking and phase delivery alignment
Why It Matters
In themed entertainment, a missed deadline isn’t just a delay, it’s lost revenue, missed marketing windows, and disappointed guests.
